Silicone Coated Paper
Finished baking and release paper — specified by what it survives in an oven, not by grammage alone.
What it is.
Siliconised baking paper is one of the few grades where the honest specification is a cooking test, and the mill runs them: chicken wings at 220 °C for 30 minutes with no adhesion, no charring and no odour; eggs at 260 °C for 3 minutes where the paper must still fold and be squeezed without breaking up; steamed rice dumplings with completely non-stick release. Those tests tell you more than any single number on a data sheet.
Around them sits the measurable set. Grammage runs in bands from 30 to 50 g/m² with thickness 33 to 50 µm. Cobb is held ≤ 20 g/m² on both faces, burst ≥ 120 kPa, and the Kit rating ≥ 3 — release paper does not need the Kit number a fries wrap needs, because the silicone is doing the work.
Dyne value is specified ≤ 34, optical brighteners negative and odour ≤ grade 1. Dust is counted and capped, which matters more than it sounds: a speck of dirt on a release sheet shows up on every product that touches it.
