Candy Paper
Twist wrap — a light sheet specified for one unusual property: it holds a twist without springing back.
What it is.
Candy twist paper is bought on dead-fold. When the wrapping machine twists the ends of the wrapper, the paper has to stay twisted; a sheet that springs back opens the sweet in the bag. That property — kink or dead-fold strength — is the whole specification, and it is why an ordinary light wrapping paper cannot simply be substituted.
It runs light, and it runs on high-speed wrapping machines, so formation and freedom from dirt matter: a weak spot in a 20-something gram sheet becomes a web break, and a web break on a twist wrapper costs more in downtime than the paper is worth.
